Prosser Wilbert Construction, Inc. served as the design-build contractor for the city of Iola’s municipal water park. The project included the remodeling of an existing 6,208
Square foot bathhouse and filter building, the construction of a new 9,600 square foot swimming pool and construction of a new building for chemical storage.

Work within the existing structure included the construction of men’s, women’s and family showers, a concessions area, ticket booth, lobby, multi-purpose room, life guard office and manager’s office. The basement of the facility was renovated to become the filter area for the new pool and for storage.

The pool features zero depth entry, lap pool area, diving boards, youth play area, serpentine and speed slide area, spray ground and several shade structures.

This project was awarded the 2009 ABC Heart of America Chapter’s Excellence in Construction Award.
